Community can be proud of MD fundraiser

Supporters from near and far have once again made the Mesachie Lake MD Ball Tournament and Auction a huge success.

More than $60,000 was raised this year, smashing last year’s record.

Those generously donated funds will surely go a long way toward supporting Muscular Dystrophy Canada. But perhaps just as important is the message sent by such a show of support.

From the firefighters walk to the ball tournament to the much-anticipated fun of the auction, it is wonderful see such a high level of community involvement in an event that now has a 30-year history.

Here’s to even bigger success in June 2010.
